Braja Sandhi Monument

Bajra Sandhi Monument is monument of Balinese People Struggle . This Monument is recognized by the name of Braja Sandhi because it's form is looking like Bajra or Genta or bell used by all Hindu Priest in reading off Weda holy sentence (mantra) at religious ceremony. This monument is built in the year 1987 and it is opened by president of Megawati Sukarno Putri on 14 June 2003. The purpose of this monument is to immortalize the soul and spirit of Balinese People struggle, at one blow dig, looking after, developing and also preserve the Culture of Bali to be bequeathed to a router generation as advancing capital stroke tread a world of loaded progressively with the challenge and resistance.

Little India , Singapore

Little India is an ethnic neighbourhood found in Singapore that has Tamil cultural elements. Little India lies to east of the Singapore River—across fromChinatown, located west of the river—and north of Kampong Glam. Both areas are part of the urban planning area of Rochor.

Little India is distinct from the Chulia Kampong area, which, under the Raffles Plan of Singapore, was originally a division of colonial Singapore where Tamilimmigrants would reside under the British policy of ethnic segregation. However, as Chulia Kampong became more crowded and competition for land escalated, many ethnic Tamils moved into what is now known as Little India. (The Chulia Kampong district no longer exists as a distinct area.)

Asal-usul Rahwana / Dasamuka :

Ibu Rahwana bernama Kaikesi, seorang puteri Raja Detya bernama Sumali. Sumali memperoleh anugerah dari Brahma sehingga ia mampu menaklukkan para raja dunia. Sumali berpesan kepada Kekasi agar ia menikah dengan orang yang istimewa di dunia. Di antara para resi, Kekasi memilih Wisrawa sebagai pasangannya. Wisrawa memperingati Kekasi bahwa bercinta di waktu yang tak tepat akan membuat anak mereka menjadi jahat, namun Kekasi menerimanya meskipun diperingatkan demikian. Akhirnya, Rahwana lahir dengan kepribadian setengah brahmana, setengah rakshasa. Saat lahir, Rahwana diberi nama "Dasanana" atau "Dasagriwa", dan konon ia memiliki sepuluh kepala.
